Tonight I met Mike in New York City to go out to dinner and celebrate the fact that he doesn't have to take anymore exams and he's going to graduate college soon. Also, it was date-night for us. Since Mike works in NYC right now, we thought that would be a great place to meet up, the only problems were...
- we wanted to eat at a new restaurant that had to have a nice atmosphere, with good food that was reasonably priced.
It was a little tough to do, b/c you never know what you're really getting just from reading a review online.
We narrowed it down to cuisine. We decided asian somewhere along the way (one of his favs). We found this restaurant online and were impressed by their website. It also stated a Prix Fixe menu that was $25/person for a 3 course meal + a drink. You can't go wrong with that....or at least we hoped. It's so rare to find a decent trendy place and pay less than $50/person when each person is getting an appetizer, entree, dessert, and alcoholic drink of choice!
Mike and I both agreed, the moment we stepped into Fusia we were quite impressed. Today they had live music which made the evening that more special.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the most adorable man with a giant smile on his face. He told us to come in, took our jackets and hung them up then seated us. The entire staff at Fusia was extremely polite, joyful, attentive, and just plain old happy. This made the evening so relaxing for me. I hate dealing with uptight waiters/tresses.
The interior of the restaurant was very pretty. Tonight the place wasn't packed, but it sure wasn't empty either.
Visit the site, and DEFINITELY visit the restaurant. You won't regret it. We are absolutely going back!!!Labels: NYC, restaurants, review |
