I just got a message from Color Me Mine saying my H2O Water Bowl that I painted got 3rd place. LOL...
I wasn't expecting to win anything, just wanted some bowls, so it was nice to hear! If anything, was hoping the pink one would win, but yanno, it's just tape and different colors of paint...
Don't know exactly what I won, some sort of gift cert. Yippee! Love that place!
I just popped on my page today and saw the little box where it says ME! I had a little widget embedded to display my blogTV feed, and today, it showed some not so good stuff. Like a girl lifting up her shirt showing the word her youknowwhats.
Nudity is not allowed on blogTV, i thought it censored this stuff!! :-(
Anyway, i removed the widget and just left text. To view my feed, just click on the link to the left. Also -- when I have a scheduled show it will show up on the left side linkymajingy too.
We got back from our little vaca a little less than a month ago. We had planned on spending a good 2 weeks getting the house in order and ready for a realtor to check out, so we can put it on the market.
During that time, we found 3 other units in our development, all the same model, selling for really low amounts. Poop.
Our neighbors, literally across our door (we share a walkway) have the same unit. They moved out of their place in January, I believe. They moved to CA due to a job offer, they have since been UNABLE to sell their house. They've lowered their asking price so low, that if we sold now, we would very likely loose money. We do have some 'upgrades' so to speak. But the neighbors price is so low b/c they HAVE to sell, I mean, they moved out 8 months ago and are still paying the mortgage on this home and their current home. I can't blame them for lowering the price. But alas, it still isn't selling. What is the deal!?!
We are lucky enough that we do not HAVE to sell. However, it would be ideal.
We have a lot of room, but it is laid out odd. You walk in and are at an entry way with to staircases. 1 leads up, the other leads down. Downstairs there is a basement. Head on up to the den/living floor of our place which has a Den/Dining Room/Kitchen and Powder room. Up another flight leads you to our Master Bedroom w/bath / another full bathroom / and guest bedroom (that we turned into our Library/Study). Up another set of stairs leads you to our loft, which doubles as a guest bedroom and office. Also houses our laundry room. It's a lot of space, but it's very broken up. We have high ceilings which is very appealing, however, it's like a bachelor pad. It's not the greatest place to raise small children due to all the stairs. And yes, someday we would like to have little ones without the hassle of putting up 20 or so baby-gates. Cause, ya know, I would be tripping all over them with my clumsiness. (no joke, they are my nemesis...along with plastic bags flying around on roads)
Anyway -- we've gotten a little put off with the whole cleaning thing. Cleaning is great and all...for the purpose, but getting our house to a certain point to be shown -- that is just ridiculous to me at this point. B/C if we have to live in a ready-to-be-shown house for 8 months or more then we need to hire a maid. DH is not in agreement with that thusfar. Seeing as I am practically a SAHW working only a few hours a week, I should be able to clean this place top to bottom a few days a week. What a life. Maybe I should become a maid and he could pay me to do it. I need that incentive. For reals.

We meet with a potential realtor on Monday the 31st. Plenty of time to finish tidying up. But alas -- I do not have high hopes on selling anytime soon. *pout*

I added a small app window to the left -- if there is a show/or ME/doing something on cam LIVE there will be a button saying 'Click to view'... or something like that.
You can click to view in that little window - or go directly to my blogTV page and see me larger and you can interact - chat, cohost, etc...
why is it that i seem to be getting EVERY illness my husband gets? And, not only do I get what he has had, but i get it about 2 weeks later and a lot worse.
I can't take it anymore!!!
I am experiencing one of the worst stomach bugs I've ever had in a LONG time. This one, however, does not induce vomiting (if it did, it would be THE worse).
My innards are writhing in pain. The best I can explain it is that it feels like everything is all twisted up inside. I've heard people say that's how they felt before, and now I know what they meant. It's my upper & lower stomach. It hurts, it aches. It makes me nauseous. It gives me cold sweats. I'm shaky, I'm irritable (very!). My stomach is convulsing and making crazy growling noises at me (sucks ASS!). My whole body is tensing up and cramping b/c of the pain...
I know what you're thinking. If it's so bad why is it that I am blogging this entry in the middle of it all? It is because I want there to be a record of how I died.
I've gotten in the habit of adding 'bit', 'tang' & 'smack' to the end of things I'm typing. I hope it doesn't cross into my everyday verbal speak.
Tang & Smack - i've been using to emphasize things. It sounds completely ridiculous and crazy-tang or crazy-smack. Bit - I've been using to talk about things I do a lot. Can't help it at the moment, it's a bit-bit. HA!
Yeah, okay, so that's my explanation. Not that I needed to explain it, but for krispies sake, it's almost 1am. My mind is totally friggen full of crap right now, and I thought ya'll were worthy enough to be subjected to it tonight today.
Crap isn't always bad. Sometimes there is good crap, you know, the kind with little gems of corn in it.
... because I sure as HELL cannot read this... I know the image has been 'shrunk' to postable size, but c'mon now, the writing in this 'agreement' is so minuscule there is no possible way I could read it, even with a magnifying glass.
I warily accepted the agreement anyway, hoping that it wasn't some sort of virus thing I was accepting to. Thankfully it wasn't. Can anyone say 'glitch'? Thanks, iTunes for making me poke at my eyes, (which are now very irritated and bloodshot) to make sure my contacts were still in. It was worth it to hear my music again!
since I have anything of quality to post about. Really, what has happened to my blog?? It has been neglected by me for far too long. Soon enough, my fellow interwebbies, I will be blogging like mad.
Yesterday my older sis (Dawn) and I, spent the day at Color Me Mine. We entered at 3:30pm and left at 9pm. It was a loooong day.
I worked on a dog bowl for Dibs that I started earlier in the week. I had to write her name on it and touch up some spots.
Here is a photo of her bowl (it's a horrible cam phone pic, and you can't see her name since it's turned backward.) I want Mike to work on a bowl for Peeps. So, when I was done with Dibs' bowl, I started on their water bowl.
Get it? H2O? I put water molecules all over it. Only one person at the studio knew what they were without reading the front of the bowl. LOL!
We had a blast. I LOVE going there b/c it's sooo relaxing.
These bowls have been entered in a Dog Bowl contest, so I won't be able to take them home until the end of the month.
1st prize is a party at Color Me Mine with 10 friends and our dogs!! Ha! How hilarious would that be?! You get to do Dog Printing artwork too. 2nd Prize is $120 gift certificate to the store. 3rd prize is something smaller, and everyone entered gets a small gift certificate as well.
I hope to make it to the store when they have them all on display to take a pic. I don't think we will win, b/c the contests are usually for kids. So, the best 'kid art' will most likely win ;-)
